HD 49 Resident Appointed to Manufactured Housing Commission

Swartz Creek resident Holly Hook was recently appointed by Gov. Whitmer to the Manufactured Housing Commission.

LANSING — State Rep. John Cherry (D-Flint Township) shared his reaction to a recent announcement that Swartz Creek resident Holly Hook was appointed to the state Manufactured Housing commission.

“It is always a good day when a resident of my district is recognized for their advocacy.” Cherry said. “Having worked alongside Holly and MHAction on my recent manufactured housing package, I feel confident that Holly’s appointment is in the best interest of Michigan’s manufactured housing communities and I was happy to advocate on her behalf. I congratulate her and MHAction and look forward to working together with the commission.”

Hook was appointed to fill the open role for a commissioner representing an organization whose membership consists of mobile home residents. Her term expires May 9th, 2024. Hook is a representative of MHAction, a national movement of manufactured home community residents campaigning to protect the affordability and quality of their communities, and fight to advance racial, economic, and gender justice.
