LANSING- State Rep. Kevin Hertel (D-St.Clair Shores) was sworn in officially today as representative for the 18th House District for the 2019-2020 legislative session. The swearing-in ceremony marked the formal opening of Michigan’s 100th Legislature. In response, Rep. Hertel issued the following statement:

“During my first term in the House, I focused on the issues that directly impact our community: workers’ rights, increased environmental protection, and justice for survivors of sexual assault or child abuse. We had some major victories, but we still have long way to go. I look forward to continuing this work alongside my colleagues and the new administration to ensure we are putting the needs of our community first.”
