LANSING, Mich., July 11, 2022 — Organizers for the Reproductive Freedom for All petition delivered signatures to the Bureau of Elections today. The petition would amend the Michigan Constitution to ensure that no one goes to prison for providing safe medical care as well as ensure access to a broad range of reproductive health care, including abortion. State Rep. Rachel Hood (D-Grand Rapids) issued the following statement on the delivery of the signatures:

“Republicans are desperately trying to take away individual rights and freedoms, but the people of Michigan have spoken up. Over 750,000 signatures have been collected so that protecting reproductive freedom will be on the ballot in November. I applaud those who organized and worked hard to make this happen, and I wholeheartedly support an individual’s right to make personal choices about their reproductive health.”
