LANSING, Mich., Jan. 26, 2022 — Today, Gov. Gretchen Whitmer delivered her fourth State of the State address from Detroit Diesel. Her remarks highlighted proposals to support small businesses, cut taxes and reduce costs for working families. In response, State Rep. Kara Hope (D-Holt) issued the following statement:
“I am proud to support a governor who understands the needs of working families. She’s laid out a plan that will lower the costs of insulin, create tens of thousands of construction jobs, and ensure our seniors can retire with peace of mind.
