“Year after year, we have watched the systematic defunding of our schools under GOP control, aligning with the dangerous DeVos agenda to attack our public schools. The strain of this pandemic is showing the depth of the burden this has placed on our educators. Our schools are taking on an enormous challenge this year and they need as much support as they can get to ensure that they are able to take it on and succeed.
“The funds allocated today will help them not only get through this school year but give them the tools to bear the extraordinary task of guiding our children through a global pandemic.
