“Though many would like to pretend otherwise, we are still in the midst of a dangerous and unpredictable pandemic. Our educators often go above and beyond for the students entrusted in their care, and it is the responsibility of the legislature to give them the tools they need to do their jobs, especially as the pandemic crisis continues.
“The Return to Learn package, though not perfect, provides both clarity and flexibility to school districts so that they can prepare plans unique to their needs that will keep everyone safe while ensuring continuity of learning. House Democrats know more work needs to be done and with this legislation, our schools can begin the year knowing we are looking out for their interests and will continue to hear their concerns to improve upon this framework.”
