“Republican legislative leaders continue to sow doubt and undermine confidence in the integrity of a fair, legal and efficient election. Michiganders have clearly spoken and chosen President-Elect Joe Biden with a vote majority of 150,000 ballots.
“There is no legitimate reason for these continued political stunts; they are nothing but an egregious attempt to interfere with the certification of a lawful election. The Legislature has no role in the appointment of electors or the casting of Michigan’s electoral votes, yet Republicans’ continued, partisan antics have led to widespread conspiracy theorizing that they are planning a power grab.
