LANSING, Mich., Oct. 4, 2022 — Today, House Democratic Leader Donna Lasinski (D-Scio Township) attended the bill signing ceremony today at the Governor’s Residence making Senate Bill 844 law. The bill provides hundreds of millions to the state’s Strategic Outreach Attraction Reserve (SOAR) for economic development and attracting and incentivizing business investment and job growth in the state. After the signing, Lasinski issued the following statement:
“Democrats have consistently championed both the SOAR Fund and its promise to deliver for the people of Michigan an economy and jobs that can provide working Michiganders the stability they need to provide for their families. It is a tremendous asset for our state to have a governor who shares our vision for a competitive Michigan economy, and I was proud to stand with Governor Whitmer today as we delivered on that vision.”
