DETROIT, Oct. 27, 2021 — Detroit is now providing COVID-19 Pfizer, Moderna, and Johnson & Johnson booster shots at all city-run vaccination sites, following the FDA’s approval.
“We can all agree: It is time to return to normal,” said state Rep. Cynthia A. Johnson (D-Detroit). “These booster shots will help revive our economy and ensure the safety of the sick and elderly in our community. In many cases, we’re talking about keeping our own parents and grandparents safe and doing what we need to do to protect them so they can get out, socialize and lead normal lives without worrying about catching the coronavirus. If you don’t want to get vaccinated for yourself, then get vaccinated for them.”
“These vaccines are going to protect you and your loved ones,” added Johnson. “They are miracles of modern science, and they won’t cost you a cent. I’ve gotten my booster shot and encourage you to do the same!”
