Join state Rep. Kristian Grant (D-Grand Rapids) at a rally to highlight the voices of Michigan’s urban cores on the issue of gun violence at 11 a.m. on Monday, June 26. This rally is in partnership with Seeds of Promise, the Diatribe and the NAACP of Grand Rapids.

“We need to work together as legislators and as a society to solve this public health crisis that plagues our communities,” Grant said. “That means listening to young folks who live in our urban cores to hear how gun violence impacts them specifically. There are no one-size-fits-all answers, and gun violence looks and affects certain communities differently — this is why it’s so crucial we hear from young community members.”
