Dear Neighbor,

As we return from our summer in-district work period, our Democratic majority is ready to continue to pass people-first legislation that will greatly improve the lives of Michigan residents. We are getting to work on bills to establish paid leave for parents of newborns and those dealing with medical emergencies; developing more reliable, affordable and clean energy; lowering prescription drug costs; protecting our groundwater; investing in our college graduates so they stay here in Michigan; supporting high-tech businesses to grow jobs; requiring more transparency from elected officials; protecting our children from the exploitation of their labor, and much more.

I also want to invite you to a community coffee hour that our office is hosting. My special guest will be Sen. Majority Leader Winnie Brinks (D-Grand Rapids). We will be holding the coffee hour on Friday, Sept. 29, from 10:15 a.m. – 11:15 a.m.. These coffee hours are a great chance for us to hear directly from you about how we can best represent you in the capitol. I welcome you to join us for this discussion. For more details, including the location of our coffee hour, please RSVP using the following link: https://forms.gle/j5iErDhUx2LLKwKv9

Sincerely,

Phil Skaggs
