LANSING — State Rep. Jewell Jones (D-Inkster) was sworn in officially today as the Representative for the 11th House District for the 2019-2020 Legislative Session. The swearing-in ceremony marked the formal opening of Michigan’s 100th Legislature. In response, Representative Jones issued the following statement:

“Each new term is a new opportunity to improve the lives of the people that I’m blessed to serve in the 11th State House District, as well as our neighbors across the state of Michigan. I am excited to continue the work we began last term and solve the challenges we, as a people, face every day. By supporting public education, improving our roads and lowering the costs of no-fault auto insurance, we can bring about real change in our state. I pledge to work with everyone, at all levels of government, to ensure that the policies enacted by our state government truly put the people of Michigan first.”
