LANSING — The Michigan House passed two critically needed supplemental budget bills last night with overwhelming bipartisan support. In response, state Rep. Sheryl Kennedy (D-Davison) issued the following statement:

“I was proud to vote in favor of this legislation to restore $459 million in funding to the state budget. A budget is a statement of priorities, and I was pleased to see funds allocated to important measures such as public health, public safety and public education. There is still work that needs to be done to fully fund our schools and fix our infrastructure, but these bills were a step in the right direction.”
