LANSING, Mich., Sept. 22, 2021 — The Michigan House of Representatives passed a budget that includes historic investments in health care, child care and infrastructure. In addition, the budget includes $250,000 to bring the Plymouth Cultural Center into ADA compliance and $1 million for the Michigan International Technical Center. State Rep. Matt Koleszar (D-Plymouth) issued the following statement in support of the budget’s passage:
“While this budget included transformational investments across multiple industries, we were able to secure funding for a priority very close to my heart. With these funds, we’ll finally be able to bring the Plymouth Cultural Center into ADA compliance so that the heart of our community will be open to all. I would also like to personally thank Sen. Dayna Polehanki (D-Livonia) for working with me to secure $1 million for the Michigan International Technology Center, which will help keep our community’s economy competitive. While we’ve made major progress with this budget, there’s always more work to be done.”
