LANSING — State Representative Robert L. Kosowski (D-Westland) had another bill passed by the House of Representatives today. House Bill 5497 is part of a four-bill package dealing with the waiver of fees under the Electrical Administrative Act.
“I am always in favor of helping our veterans any way possible for their incredible service to our country,” Kosowski said. “Waiving these fees for veterans with equivalent training and experience is the least we can do.”
Kosowski joined three other members in sponsoring the bills. HB 5497 amends the provision that requires the Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs to issue an electrical journeyman’s license to any individual who, while on active duty as a member of the armed forces, served as an interior electrician or in an equivalent job classification.
