LANSING, Mich., July 11, 2022 — Organizers for the Reproductive Freedom For All petition delivered signatures to the Bureau of Elections today. The petition would amend the Michigan Constitution to ensure that no one goes to prison for providing safe medical care as well as ensure access to a broad range of reproductive health care, including abortion. State Rep. Padma Kuppa (D-Troy) issued the following statement on the delivery of the signatures:

“Privacy in medical decisions rooted in science and bodily autonomy is central to a person’s civil and economic liberties. I am extremely proud and grateful that the RFFA organizers have collected more than 750,000 signatures, well beyond the number necessary to put this proposed amendment on the ballot. I look forward to the people of Michigan having the final say on this issue in November.”
