LANSING — A portion of Braun Road in Saline Township collapsed on Wednesday morning, in part due to a failed underground pipe and heavy rains. The collapse left behind a massive hole measuring 20 feet wide and 15 feet deep. The road will remain impassable for the foreseeable future until repairs are made. In response, state Rep. Donna Lasinski (D-Scio Township) issued the following statement:

"Recent extreme weather has made Michigan’s crumbling roads even more dangerous. Years of neglect have left our infrastructure in shambles and our next state budget must include courageous solutions to fix this ongoing problem. The road to Michigan’s economic future runs directly down I-94 and dozens of other highways and roads across the state. We must fix our roads, so businesses will invest in us.”
