LANSING, Mich., Aug. 10, 2021 — House Democratic Leader Donna Lasinski (D-Scio Township) issued the following statement on the passage of a $1 trillion infrastructure bill in the U.S. Senate:
“Today, the Senate put aside partisan differences to make a historic investment in America. I commend their work, particularly that of our senators, Gary Peters and Debbie Stabenow, in securing $8 billion for Michigan. This will allow the kind of transformational investment in high-speed internet, roads and bridges, and upgraded water infrastructure that will improve the lives of Michiganders for generations to come. ”
