On Saturday June 15, at the Eastern Michigan Student Center Ballroom, I am hosting a free breakfast to celebrate the collaborative efforts of Ypsilanti Community Schools, Eastern Michigan University and Washtenaw County on behalf of our students.
Our local institutions have been working together to strengthen educational outcomes for years. This event will highlight these efforts and announce plans for future collaboration.
Please join me along with special guest presenters Eastern Michigan University President Dr. James Smith, Ypsilanti Community Schools Superintendent Mrs. Alena Zachery-Ross, and Washtenaw County Administrator Mr. Gregory Dill. The event will be emceed by Ypsilanti Community Schools Board President Dr. Celeste Hawkins.
A full buffet breakfast will be available beginning at 8:15 a.m. The brief program will begin promptly at 9 a.m. and we should wrap up well before 11 a.m.
Free parking vouchers for the EMU Student Center lot will be distributed at the breakfast.
