State Rep. Tullio Liberati (D-Allen Park) was sworn in today as representative for the 2021-2022 legislative session. The swearing-in ceremony marked the formal opening of Michigan’s 101st Legislature.
“I’m honored and humbled to be embarking on this journey on behalf of a community I’ve called home for more than 50 years,” said Liberati. “My hardworking, dedicated neighbors and fellow community members are counting on someone to go to bat for them in Lansing, and that’s exactly what I intend to do while fighting for stronger employment opportunities, quality public education, and more equitable revenue sharing practices for our local governments.”
Rep. Liberati is serving his first term representing the 13th House District, which includes the cities of Allen Park, Southgate and a portion of Dearborn Heights. Born and raised in Allen Park, Liberati spent his summers working construction while attending Wayne State University, where he discovered his passion for masonry and community involvement. Now a licensed builder and successful small business owner, Liberati brings a fresh perspective on state-level and local issues to his work in the Legislature.
