LANSING, Mich., Jan. 26, 2022 — Today, Gov. Gretchen Whitmer delivered her fourth State of the State address from Detroit Diesel. In response, state Rep. Mari Manoogian (D-Birmingham) issued the following statement:
“Under Governor Whitmer’s leadership, we’ve seen historic investments in our children and public schools, huge advancements in criminal justice reform, and long-needed focuses on fixing our roads. This evening, Governor Whitmer made clear that her priority is on putting Michiganders first in every space. From increasing the earned-income tax credit and lowering the price of insulin, to investing in our state’s future by building up our electric vehicle infrastructure and lowering the cost of purchasing an EV for families – and of course, continuing to fix our broken roads – I look forward to continuing that good work with the Governor and my legislative colleagues this year.”
