LANSING, Mich., May 14, 2025 — State Representative Mike McFall (D-Hazel Park) issued the following statement in response to the attempted terrorist event that occurred yesterday at the U.S. Army Detroit Arsenal in Warren, located in Michigan’s 14th House District:
“I am deeply grateful to the law enforcement officers and federal agents who acted swiftly and professionally to prevent what could have been a devastating act of violence at the Detroit Arsenal. Their quick response protected not only military personnel but also members of our local community. Warren and the surrounding cities deserve to feel safe and secure. My office will remain in close contact with local, state, and federal authorities as we learn more about the incident and continue to support our first responders.”
The US Army’s Tank-Automotive & Armaments Command (TACOM) facility at the Detroit Arsenal is home to more than 7,000 civilian and military personnel and is a vital asset to both our national defense and the local economy. The Detroit Arsenal manages the Army’s ground equipment supply chain, which covers approximately 60 percent of the Army’s equipment.
