LANSING, Mich., July 28, 2025 — Lt. Stacy O’Brien has been appointed to be on the Underwater Salvage and Preserve Committee. O’Brien is currently the underwater search and rescue commander for the Macomb County Sheriff’s Office and will represent the general public on the committee for a term starting in August 2025 and running through August of 2028. “I am so excited to congratulate Lt. O’Brien on his appointment to the Underwater Salvage and Preserve Committee. I have known Lt. O’Brien for years and he is an outstanding person — so, when it came time to recommend someone for this position, he was my first choice. With a law enforcement background and his strong experience with the dive team at the sheriff’s office, he has the expertise necessary for this position. I am thrilled at his appointment, and I know he will serve this committee and the public well.”
