These grants, along with extended tax subsidies and other actions taken by state and federal partners, will help reduce the national uninsured rate which hit an all-time record low in 2022, of just 8%. Health Insurance Navigators offer free local help to families and individuals so that they can access health coverage options through the Marketplace or through government assistance programs, such as Medicaid or the MIChild program. Navigators operate year-round to increase awareness and help consumers access the tools and resources they need to use and maintain their health coverage. This assistance will only further assist in getting Michiganders coverage.
