National Work Zone Awareness starts April 15. This week is an important reminder for Michiganders that orange cone season is beginning again. The highest number of Michigan work zone crashes occur when lanes are closed, and speeding is the leading cause of fatal work zone crashes. It is important for those driving in a work zone to slow down, minimize distractions, watch for brake likes, be patient and stay calm and to pay attention.
