LANSING —  Last night, Gov. Gretchen Whitmer gave her first State of the State address, outlining her vision for the state and calling for bipartisan collaboration to address the issues that matter most to Michigan’s working families. In response, state Rep. Sheldon Neeley (D-Flint) issued the following statement:

“After eight years of mismanagement, inaction and excuses, Gov. Whitmer is providing the people of Flint a reason to hope again. Access to clean water should never be sacrificed for the sake of profits, and I am eager to partner with the governor over the next two years to address the crisis of confidence plaguing my community and ensure every household has clean water flowing from their faucets.”

Rep. Neeley was joined by his wife, Cynthia Neeley.
