The total capital investment is expected to be $8 million, and Flint was chosen over a competing site in Ohio. In response, state Rep. Cynthia Neeley (D-Flint) issued the following statement:
“I am thrilled that Island Plastics has chosen the city of Flint, and its hard-working people, to grow its business. Although we continue to face adversity, ours is a city on the rise, and I look forward to seeing this project come to fruition.”
