O’Neal Continues His Work to Strengthen Ties with Canada

LANSING, Mich., May 6, 2025 — State Rep. Amos O’Neal (D-Saginaw) was recently re-appointed to the Midwestern Legislative Conference’s Midwest-Canada Relations Committee. In response to this announcement, O’Neal issued the following statement: 

“I’m honored to be named co-chair of this committee. As the Trump trade war turmoil continues, the United States’ relationship with our neighboring countries has become strained and tarnished. It is important to uplift those relationships and have a forum for both Michigan state legislators and Canadian legislators to come together and share ideas and concerns. I’m looking forward to continuing my work with this committee this year.”
