LANSING, Mich., April 16, 2024 — State Rep. Amos O’Neal (D-Saginaw) was honored with the Michigan Association of Local Public Health’s 2024 Friend of Public Health Award, one of many awards he has received thus far in 2024. He was also awarded the Michigan Association of Counties’ 2024 County Advocate Award. In addition, he was also recognized as the legislator of the year by both the Michigan Municipal League as well as Michigan Community Action. Following these awards, O’Neal issued this statement:
