LANSING — Tonight, Gov. Gretchen Whitmer gave her first State of the State address, outlining her vision for the state and calling for bipartisan collaboration to address the issues that matter most to Michigan’s working families. In response, state Rep. Kristy Pagan (D-Canton) issued the following statement:
“Tonight’s address focused on the issues that matter most to our Michigan residents: an open and transparent government, equality under law, protecting our environment and keeping our water clean, and investing in education so that every child can succeed. I look forward to implementing the ambitious plan the Governor has laid out. Now is the time to work together to fully fund our public schools, protect our environment, and provide equity for all Michiganders.”
Rep. Pagan was joined by Anupam Chugh Sidhu, who serves on the Plymouth-Canton Board of Education.
