LANSING —  Tonight, Gov. Gretchen Whitmer gave her first State of the State address, outlining her vision for the state and calling for bipartisan collaboration to address the issues that matter most to Michigan’s working families. In response, state Rep. Ronnie Peterson (D-Ypsilanti) issued the following statement:

“Throughout my time in office, I have made an effort to reach out to my my colleagues on both sides of the aisle to bring greater economic prosperity to the people of Ypsilanti, Ypsilanti Township and Superior Township. I am grateful to have a governor who plans to do the same, and I look forward to working with her to better support Michigan families.”

Rep. Peterson was joined by Andy French, owner of Aubree’s restaurant in Ypsilanti and vice chairman of the Michigan Restaurant and Lodging Association.
