LANSING, Mich., Sept. 22, 2021 — The Michigan House of Representatives passed a budget that includes historic investments in health care, child care and infrastructure. It also provides $1 million for the Bell Creek erosion mitigation project and $100,000 for a senior park in Livonia. State Rep. Laurie Pohutsky (D-Livonia) issued the following statement in support of the budget’s passage:
“Bringing this money back to our community will help protect Bell Creek from erosion and provide a park for senior citizens. Investing in our outdoor spaces is common sense, and I am glad that my colleagues on both sides of the aisle joined together to make these investments. While this is a great bipartisan budget, I urge House leadership to distribute the remaining unused federal funds available at our disposal and bring real, transformational change to Michigan.”
