Dear Friends,

I hope that you all had a wonderful Fourth of July weekend. I am reaching out because I will be hosting my colleagues and fellow members of Michigan’s Progressive Women’s Caucus (PWC) this Thursday, July 11, from 6:30-8:00 p.m. at the Scio Township Hall as a part of our summer Listening Tour.

This statewide tour marks the 100th anniversary of Michigan’s ratification of the 19th Amendment, which extended voting rights to women. To celebrate, we’ve organized a series of town halls to ensure that your voice is heard in Lansing. Everyone is welcome, and attendees are invited to share their concerns about the most important issues facing women in Michigan today. Special guests state Rep. Kristy Pagan (D-Canton), Chair of the PWC, and state Rep. Rebekah Warren, longtime leader on women’s rights, will also be in attendance alongside Jen Flood, Director of Public Affairs in the Governor’s Office, and Dr. Jennifer Villavicencio, an OBGYN and Family Planning Specialist.
