“Today, on Women’s Equality Day, Governor Whitmer doubled down on her commitment to uplift and empower Michigan women by transferring the Michigan Women’s Commission to the Department of Labor and Economic Opportunity. This move is significant because it allows the Michigan Women’s Commission to have additional resources and support to make equal pay, affordable child care and paid parental leave a reality. By ensuring equality for women across Michigan, our families and communities will be stronger.
