Attorney General Nessel joins event to help residents avoid scams
TRAVERSE CITY, Mich., July 7, 2023 — State Rep. Betsy Coffia (D-Traverse City) held a Consumer Protection and Senior Issues Town Hall today at the Traverse City Michigan Works! location on Garfield Avenue. Coffia’s special guest for the event was Attorney General Dana Nessel.
“I’m so grateful that Attorney General Nessel was able to join us today,” Coffia said. “She has been a tireless fighter on behalf of the people of Michigan, and it was great to hear her insights about ways that residents, particularly seniors, can keep their hard-earned money.”
Coffia and Nessel offered residents advice on how to avoid scams and gave an update on legislation proposed to improve protections for Michigan seniors and consumers.
