DETROIT — State Rep. Stephanie Chang (D-Detroit) joined her House colleagues today to open the new legislative session at the swearing-in ceremony Chang was sworn in by state Supreme Court Justice Bridget Mary McCormack. She was joined by her parents, Sarolina and Lien Chang, her husband, Sean M. Gray, and their 17 month -old daughter.
“My team and I are already back to work fighting for clean affordable water for Detroiters and all Michiganders, earned paid sick leave for employees, clean air for my residents to breathe, and criminal justice reform. I am more committed than ever to making District 6 communities a better place in which to live, work and raise a family,” said Chang. “I am honored that the residents in Ecorse, River Rouge and Detroit have given me this great opportunity to continue serving them in the community and at the state Capitol.”
