LANSING — State Rep. Donna Lasinski (D-Scio Township) participated in a ceremonial swearing in before the beginning of session, where she and her 109 colleagues took the official oath of office for state representative.

“The opportunity to serve my community in Lansing is a tremendous honor and responsibility,” said Lasinski. “I am thankful for my community’s support and trust in my ability to represent their interests at the state Capitol. Now it’s time to work together for a stronger economy, higher quality public education and environmentally friendly initiatives so we can keep Michigan moving forward.”

Rep. Lasinski was joined by her husband and their three sons, as well as her brother and her niece and nephews. She represents the 52nd House District, which encompasses northern and western Washtenaw County, including Chelsea, Dexter, Manchester, Saline and Whitmore Lake.
