DAVISON — State Representative Pam Faris (D-Clio) today announced that the city of Davison has been awarded a $153,556 Community Development Block Grant to support Davison’s Downtown Façade Project. The grant comes from the Michigan Economic Development Corporation (MEDC), and will be supported with $27,000 from the Davison Downtown Development Authority and an additional $27,623 in private investment.

“The timing of this announcement helps usher in Small Business Saturday, which is just over a week away,” Rep. Faris said. “Maintaining vibrant and busy downtowns is vital for cities and towns across Michigan, and this grant will help ensure Davison’s downtown is beautiful for years to come.”

Work funded by this grant will provide repairs to masonry, windows and storefronts of three buildings in downtown Davison.
