I am hosting a listening tour stop with the Progressive Women’s Caucus on Wednesday, Aug. 16. Part of a statewide listening tour, please join us and voice your concerns about policies and challenges facing women and families in Michigan. There will also be opportunities to take action on the issues that matter to you.

Reminder: Saline Celtic Festival
The Saline Celtic Festival is taking place tomorrow, Friday, July 14, and Saturday, July 15! The festival celebrates Saline’s sister city relationship with Brecon, Wales, and offers jousting, sheep herding, dancing, food and drink, and activities for children as well. Legislative Update
Working for HD 52
As mentioned before, the Michigan House of Representatives has a lighter session schedule in the summer to accommodate district plans. We met on Wednesday, July 12, and a list of bills introduced and passed can be found here: http://legislature.mi.gov/doc.aspx?daily
Throughout the summer, my staff and I are still hard at work on the policy issues affecting our community, including broadband access. As always, if you have ideas for legislation or concerns about state policies, please reach out to my staff and me.
