LANSING — State Representative Bill LaVoy (D-Monroe) was proud to have His Excellency Archbishop Allen Vigneron at the state Capitol today. Vigneron is the leader of the Archdiocese of Detroit.
“It’s a tremendous honor to have Archbishop Vigneron to join us here in the Capitol today,” LaVoy said. “It’s a great reminder that faith transcends party lines and can really bring people together.”
LaVoy hosted a lunch with Vigneron and colleagues from both sides of the aisle in the Capitol. Vigneron then delivered the invocation to begin today’s House session.
