LANSING — State Representative Bill LaVoy (D-Monroe) was honored to host the Most Rev. Archbishop Allen H. Vigneron at the state Capitol on Tuesday, March 22. Vigneron delivered the invocation to begin Tuesday’s House session at the Capitol.

“It is always a pleasure hosting Archbishop Vigneron here at the Capitol.” LaVoy said. “His thoughtful words remind us that above all, faith looks past partisan divides and helps us move toward positive and confident resolutions. In a time where political divisions seem to grow deeper and deeper, it is nice to be reminded that faith unifies us as one community.”

Appointed by Pope Benedict XVI, Vigneron was named to his position in January 2009.
