LANSING — State Representative Bill LaVoy (D-Monroe) led his colleagues in congratulating the St. Mary Catholic Central varsity softball team on their Class C state championship this season.
“It is wonderful to host such a talented group of individuals and recognize their achievement. This state championship caps an extremely successful athletic year for the high school,” LaVoy said.
LaVoy hosted a tour of the Capitol as well as a lunch for the group following their official recognition by the Michigan House of Representatives.
“It is always great to see people form my alma mater have success. It is my hope that we can have visits from teams again next year,” LaVoy said.
