MONROE — State Representative Bill LaVoy (D-Monroe) is announcing the schedule for his school visits for March is Reading Month. LaVoy will read to classes at each of the schools to stress the importance of reading and the role it plays in students’ educational success.

“We know that childhood literacy is crucial when it comes to kids succeeding in K-12 education and beyond,” LaVoy said. “I’m proud to help create a love of reading in our students to help them achieve their goals.”

LaVoy will make the following visits:

  • Monday, March 7, from 9-11 a.m. at Manor Elementary School in Monroe
  • Monday, March 14, from 9-11 a.m. at Bobcean Elementary School in Flat Rock
  • Friday, March 18, from 9-11 a.m. at Sterling Elementary School in Carleton
