LANSING — State Rep. Leslie Love (D-Detroit) is excited to announce her 2019 monthly “Lattes with Love” and After Work with the Rep. events.
“Lattes with Love,” formally coffee hours, are held on the second Monday of the month from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. The first four events (March-June) will be held at the Redford Township District Library, 25320 West Six Mile Road. The last four (July-December) will be held at the Detroit Public Library, Jessie Chase Branch, 17731 W. 7 Mile Road.
Like in year’s past, “Lattes with Love” will be a mix of themed, topical conversations with a guest presentation on a specific subject in a more informal setting. Below are the dates and themes of the 2019 coffee hours:
Monday, March 11 – Hypertension and Heart Disease
Monday, April 8 – Family Finances
Monday, May 13 – Mental Health (Mental Health Awareness Month)
Monday, June 10 – League of Michigan Bicyclists
Monday, June 10 – After Work with the Rep. (Detroit location TBD)
Monday, Sept. 9 – Outdoor Recreation
Monday, Oct. 14 – Fire Prevention
Monday, Nov. 4 – Recycling (America Recycles Month)
Monday, Dec. 9 – Legislative Update
Monday, Dec. 9 – After Work with the Rep. (Redford location TDB)
