DETROIT — State Rep. Leslie Love (D-Detroit) is announcing that she will hold a Money Matters and Fraud Prevention Fair on Saturday, April 29, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Michigan Technical Academy, 19940 Mansfield St. in Detroit. Love’s special guest for the event will be Ellis Liddell, president and CEO of ELE Wealth Management and a frequent guest on radio and TV shows such as “Inside Detroit.”

“This is going to be a dynamic fair, and I’m thrilled to have such a diverse group of professionals on hand to cover a variety of financial topics,” Love said. “We will cover financial topics for every stage of life, from cradle to grave, so I encourage anyone who is ready to improve their finances to attend.”

Topics will include credit building and repair, basic banking, paying for college, saving for retirement, preventing fraud and much more. A light lunch will be provided, and the event will conclude with a keynote address. Love said this is a natural progression from a standing room-only town hall meeting she held last month on jobs.

“Learning to take care of your money, including protecting yourself from fraud and scams, leads to a better quality of life and peace of mind,” Love said. “I feel good about helping my constituents find a job, and now I want to help working people manage and keep the money they work so hard so hard to earn.”
