State Representative Marilyn Lane (Fraser) will sponsor an upcoming tax preparation event from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 24 at the Fraser Senior Activity Center, 35935 Hidden Pine Drive, in Fraser. The event will give single filers with an income of $25,000 or less or families with an income of $50,000 or less the ability to have their returns completed for free.
“Tax preparation can be a daunting task for many families in our area. There are numerous tax credits and deductions available, but it often takes working with an experienced tax professional to take full advantage of them,” Lane said. “That’s why I’m glad to be bringing people who can help to the residents of Macomb County.”
