LANSING – State Representative Sheldon Neeley (D-Flint) has been appointed to three committees in the Michigan House of Representatives. The rising legislator will serve on the Health Policy, Local Government and Transportation committees. Rep. Neeley is in his first term serving House District 34.
“I came to Lansing to serve the people of Flint and the state of Michigan, and by lending my voice and experience to these committees, I can do just that,” Neeley said.
Rep. Neeley is humbled by the legislative leadership for recognizing his lawmaking experience from his years on the Flint City Council and positioning him on powerful House committees.
“With my background, and the wide range of topics I will be involved in with these three committees, I know I can do what’s best for the people of this state,” Neeley said. “I’m looking forward to working across the aisle on these issues to send strong legislation to the House floor.”
