LANSING — State Rep. Tim Sneller (D-Burton) has been visiting schools throughout House District 50 this month to read to students in celebration of the national “March is Reading Month” campaign.

“It is critical that students at a young age are encouraged to discover a joy for reading,” Sneller said. “Books can open doorways to entirely new worlds and instill a creativity and thirst for knowledge that only reading can satisfy. I am happy to participate in this important celebration throughout the month, and I look forward to sharing my love of reading with the great kids and teachers throughout my district.”

On Friday, March 10, Sneller read to students at Madison Academy Elementary School in Mundy Township, and on Monday, March 13, he read to students at Barhitte Elementary School in Burton. Sneller will be reading to the following three schools throughout the remainder of the month:

  • Monday, March 20

          Holy Family Elementary School

          215 Orchard St., Grand Blanc

  • Monday, March 27

2803 Grand Blanc Road, Grand Blanc

  • Friday, March 31
