LANSING, Mich., Feb. 28, 2020 — General Motors announced plans for expansion this morning, creating approximately 1200 jobs in the greater Lansing area, including 800 new jobs in their Delta Township plant. Since 2015, General Motors has invested approximately $1 billion in Lansing manufacturing. Following the announcement, state Rep. Angela Witwer (Delta Township) released the following statement:
“It’s incredibly exciting to see the continued growth and investment in Eaton County and Delta Township. This is a huge opportunity for both GM and the hardworking families of the area. I would like to thank General Motors for their continued support of our communities, and I look forward to working with them to ensure a prosperous partnership for years to come.”
