LANSING – State Representative Henry Yanez (D-Sterling Heights) hosted Sterling Heights Firefighter Eric Post today at the Michigan House of Representatives’ Sept. 11 recognition ceremony. Representatives commemorated those lost in the 2001 attacks and recognized first responders serving in Michigan communities today.
“I am pleased to be able to recognize Firefighter Eric Post today in honor of the work he does in Sterling Heights and in honor of the people we lost twelve years ago,” said Yanez. “We rely on our first responders during a crisis, and without hesitation they did their jobs 12 years ago and many unfortunately perished along with those they were trying to save. As a former firefighter myself, I am proud today to honor their memory by recognizing the work that Eric and his colleagues, and all our first responders in communities across my district and our state, for the work they do to keep us all safe.”
